Grupo Fantasia Angel Wagner, musical director of Grupo Fantasia and master percussionist, plays more than 30 instruments. Angel has studied at the Harbor Arts Academy in New York and at the Berklee College of Music in Boston. Currently, Angel is a percussionist tutor, director of the Wagner Multi-Cultural Workshop and percussionist in his band Grupo Fantasia. Originally from the Dominican Republic, Angel began his career playing with a cheese grater and fork! At age eleven, Angel went on professional tour with a Merengue band, later performing in Miami and at Madison Square Garden in New York. Angel has performed with such groups as "Flor de Cana", "Orquestra Cafe" and more currently "Manguito". Angel formed Grupo Fantasia in 1993, with musicians from all around the world, and in the past years, Fantasia has performed at many "Calle Ocho" festivals in Miami, and Latin festivals, as well as toured extensively throughout the Northeast, performing at a multitude of schools, benefits and musical extravaganzas. Angel Wagner provides traditional entertainment for all people and much of the music is performed on original, hand made instruments. The repertoire includes original and cover songs from the Caribbean and Latin America. Specifically, the Cuban Rhumba, and music from the "Buena Vista Social Club", Dominican Merengue, Puerto Rican Bomba and Plena, Columbian Cumbia, Mexican Mariachi and of course, Salsa! More recently Angel has performed for the Lowell Folk Life Center, Museum of Fine Arts, I.B.A. and The Children's Museum. Also, in July of 1996, performing on the State House steps for the passing of the Olympic Torch in Providence, Rhode Island. Fantasia has won many awards in Latin categories, one of which was Boston's prestigious 1993 Expose Award for BEST SPANISH BAND. Angel has filmed television programs including: "Pachanga Latina" for WUNI 27 and "Mosaic" for WLVI TV 56 in Boston. Fantasia regularly performs at such Boston clubs as Avalon, Europa, The Roxy and Destinations, as well as almost every college in New England.

Pan Loco Steel Band is an authentic, mixed ethnic musical ensemble consisting of two steel drummers, an electric bass player, and electronic or acoustic percussion. Formal and informal venues have included parties, weddings, corporate functions, boat cruises, college dances, festivals and some nightclubs. The ensemble was formed in November of 1991 in Boston, Massachusetts. In business for six years now, we have performed at more than 400 events, all the while, earning a solid and trusted reputation as polished professionals who have the appropriate look, feel, sound and attitude you expect for your event. We also love what we do.....and this will be obvious. The four talented members, who hail from Berklee College and the University of New Hampshire, have been performing all types of music in the New England area for many years. We have our act down pat, and the repertoire is authentic and appropriate for all ages. You won't hear top 40 songs or elevator music. Pan Loco will bring sweet calypso, reggae and island music from the Caribbean direct to your doorstep. When you hear this music, you will wish you were on a slow boat to Saint Thomas! It's the real thing! Pan Loco Steel Band is available for all occasions including festivals, weddings (any size), corporate events, boat cruises, college dances, nightclubs and private parties of all types and sizes.
