They made our party what it was! Not only are they extremely talented musicians, but they engaged the guests throughout the evening making the wedding even more fun. They are truly the best band I have encountered! The set list was unbelievable as well. I honestly think every single guest was up on the dance floor at least 90% of the evening. October 17, 2009 - Copley Plaza - Boston How do I write a testimonial for you? Beantown made my wedding absolutely unforgettable and better than I could have imagined. Emily (Katz) Laufgraben --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Posted on The Knot - Nov. 2009 I rarely write reviews, but do yourself a favor if you want the kind of wedding everyone talks about for months: hire BEANTOWN as your band. I got married on October 17, 2009 at the Fairmont Copley Plaza in Boston. Prior to the wedding, my father specifically warned the band that our family/friends were introverted and might not be the type to get up and dance. Beantown had nearly every single person at our wedding up on the dance floor - including my friend who I've never seen dance at a wedding. They have a very crisp, solid sound - but perhaps more importantly, they're amazing MC's. You could just feel the energy and tell everyone was having a great time. There were some fun surprises - for example they gave my husband and I the mic and had us rock out to Journey and Living on a Prayer. They were also very willing to learn new songs for us that weren't on our list. Their repertoire is very broad, spanning many decades of great music, which was fun because we had music from the 60's for my parents' generation, and later in the night we did more modern music. October 11 , 2009 - Diburro's, Haverhill Incredible, incredible, incredible! Whether it was Motown, music from the 70's, 80's, 90's, or more recent material, they were spot on with every song. Beantown is the most versatile and talented band that we have ever heard. I can't emphasize enough how amazing the members of Beantown are: as musicians, entertainers, and individuals. As musicians, they are absolutely first-rate. Swing, R&B, Disco, 80's rock, Hip-Hop, etc... they hit them all out of the park. As entertainers, they know exactly how to work a crowd and get them on the dance floor. By the time the wedding party was announced, you could feel the excitement buzzing in the air from our guests. As individuals, they are generous, kind, thoughtful, and fun. Beantown made our wedding reception better than we could have possibly imagined. As host and hostess, Barry and I were thrilled to see everyone have a good time (and we had one helluva good time ourselves!). And yes, like on all of your feedback forms we read, our guests told us time and again how you are the best band they have ever heard, and this was the best wedding they have ever been to. Anita, you were an absolute joy to work with. You do this all the time and yet you made us feel special, like this was your first wedding and we were the only ones who mattered. You supported with enthusiasm every whim of ours - Jenn's and Jon's song, the Benny Hill theme, the robot intro (even though that one fell a bit flat, huh?), Barry's surprise Elvis song to me, I'm tearing up as I write this! And you obviously know what you are doing and how to read the crowd, as your advice was bang on, for everything. Beantown is a 'class act' on top of being talented, it's no wonder you are the number one requested band in New England. We are so very honored to have had you at our daughter's wedding. Even though my feet were killing me from dancing all night, I could have kept on going. I loved the various musicians and vocalists coming onto the dance floor and "motivating" everyone. The crowd couldn't get enough of them.!. Beantown is AMAZING. They really made our wedding day. In fact, a month after our wedding we are still receiving emails that our wedding was "the best ever" and that it was like a "concert" because the band was so good. Beantown had our crowd of 275 (of mixed ages) dancing all night -- from the first dance on. The dance floor was packed all night long. We had a large dance floor and people had to dance on the carpet! Beantown has a VERY talented group of musicians. I was amazed that each member played at least one instrument and did vocals. One of the many reasons we picked them because of they could play such a breadth of songs and they did a fantastic job with our first dance song, which is very new. I highly recommend Beantown and really hope to get invited to another event where they are playing. Michelle Lentine May 19, 2009 - IWP Corporate office -Banquet in Methuen Performance survey: It was a little challenging given the fact that our event was outside and we didn't have any electricity. However, Beantown's tech crew worked through everything with our electrician and we had ample service for the band to perform. 1) Quality Of Music: "excellent" - "Above my expectations." 2) Choice Of Music: "excellent" - "Dance floor was full the entire night. Even those that are shy and difficult to get on stage were up dancing with the crowd. Beantown came highly recommended to me so I knew they would be good. However, they were way better than I could have imagined. As mentioned above, they learned two songs that have significant meaning to our company. AND they learned them overnight. Who does that? Everyone in the company has not stopped raving about the entertainment. I will certainly be booking Beantown again and again for future events. Thank you very much. Meg Foley November 15 , 2008 - Kernwood Country Club - Salem, MA From the moment we signed our contract, it was a totally positive and glitch-free experience...when we started to plan for the wedding, we had only 2 requirements...Kernwood and Beantown...all the other parts of the event would fall into place... ...the only time the dance floor was not loaded was during the eating of he salad & the entree... ...as we've tried to convey to you...this past saturday at our daughter's wedding, BEANTOWN provided the most perfect music...the night was unforgettable...our guests have not stopped talking about you!!...the bride's 1st question was if we had secretly arranged for her own private Bon Jovi concert when she was whisked on stage and given the mike!!..Kernwood was rocking and we owe it all to you...we cannot thank you enough!! One of my favorite parts of this wedding was working with Tim and Wilson Productions. BEANTOWN helped to make this night one we will always remember and cherish. September 26 , 2008- wedding - Crusieport - Gloucester Tim & Anita, I'm not sure I've got the exact words to capture this past Friday evening at the Crusieport in Gloucester....All I know is that we had a lot of guests with sore feet on Saturday morning!!!! BEANTOWN was everything we thought and more and our guests could not stop raving about you...our phone has been ringing for 2 days with friends an family complimenting us on the evening and asking about ''the band''....believe me the review is phenomenal!!! Eileen and I personally, felt like our wedding turned into a dance party at a live concert.....which is exactly what we wanted!!!!! We thank you and the other members for rockin' our wedding it was an awesome night and we wouldn't have wanted it any other way, and couldn't have had it without you guys and the band!!!!! I would recommend working with Wilson Stevens to anyone planning a function. Anita was magnificent! With all the other planning, I had no worries about the band going into the wedding. I spoke with Anita on several occasions to make sure everything was planned out. She is a sweetheart. Quality of music: Excellent! - The dance floor was PACKED the entire night. We had Beantown for 5 hours and announcements had to be made for people to sit down and eat because everyone was dancing. It was incredible and I have received so many rave reviews after the wedding. Choice of music: Excellent - Everyone danced - it was a perfect mix of older and newer dance hits. Everyone was singing along and joining in with the band members. Beantown was the best investment we made for the wedding-- the wedding was 2+ weeks ago, and people are still calling saying how amazing they were. People danced from the minute they came into the room, until 11:30pm-- no one left early, and the dance floor was completely filled ALL night! We LOVED the way they interacted w/ the crowd (esp bringing the groom up on stage to jam!) and loved how they were out on the dance floor getting people really into it. Everyone in the band made us feel so special, and the night flowed seamlessly b/c of them. I have so many positive thoughts and feelings about Beantown, that I could go on all day! My friend who is a NYC band expert said ....this band is better than any band ive ever heard in new york! it was great. tell everyone thanks. weird question....do you by chance have the set list you playedthat you could send me? the night went by so fast it would be fun to relive the music that was played ....i understand if this is too difficult. thanks.
